I was called to a job late at night for a blown plug on a washing machine which had also damaged the socket. The owner was unable to open the washer which had her children’s school clothes and P.E kit in that where needed for the next day. I put a new plug on the washing machine and replaced the damaged socket and tested the washer & circuit to make sure everything was safe to use. The washing machine was then able to finish the spin so the door was able to be opened so that the required items were able to be retrieved.
